Choosing a method in which to group our mics was a bit challenging, as there are so many possible categories and sub-categories to address. In the end, we decided we would showcase five main categories on this homepage for easy, logical navigation.
The categories we came up with are directly based on your needs. They are:

Okay, so let’s get right to it. Below, you will find the five catgories of microphone we discussed above. Simply scroll down to the category you’re interested in and then click on the image of any microphone that stands out to you. For your convenience, we’ve also included the price (from Amazon.com – our preferred resource for ALL music gear) of each microphone, starting with the cheapest and progressively (left to right) becoming more high-end.
Each image also includes a star rating. Again, this is taken from Amazon as per real life customer reviews. You can take these ratings seriously. They are not arbitrary, but are truly based on real user experiences. Remember, just because a microphone is a little more expensive doesn’t necessarily mean it’s higher quality.
In fact, to make it even easier for you to decide which microphone is best for you, we have included a “Top Microphones Recommends” section under each category, showcasing the top three microphones within that category, based both on Amazon reviews and our own experience, as well.
